The Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners of Washington County will hold their annual plant sale and garden expo on Saturday, May 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Home gardeners can purchase a variety of plants, as well as nature and garden-themed crafts, and have their gardening questions answered at a free diagnostic clinic. The event will be held inside Building A at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
County Road 5 and Manning Avenue in Lake Elmo.
Participants may also bring their own shopping trolley. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
The event features annuals and perennials, Minnesota Seed Trial winners, native and prairie plants, monarch plants and pollinator plants, grasses, shade plants, both heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, herbs, vegetables, and other varieties. It will be on display.master
Volunteer gardeners will also be on hand to offer advice on plant selection.
The public is encouraged to bring plant or insect samples to the diagnostic clinic for analysis and recommendations. The Garden Expo will feature education from specially trained tree care advisors, planting for pollinators, and other gardening activities.

Nature and garden themed crafts in the Garden Market area include gift items, trellises, bird and bee hives and feeders, art, tools, gloves and other gardening supplies.
Proceeds will be used to support the educational efforts of the Washington County Master Gardeners. Participants in the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program are trained volunteers with an interest in horticulture and community service. Their mission is to educate the public about best practices in horticulture and environmental management.
