Members of the community are invited to join Healthy Acadia's “Mindfulness and Gardening” via Zoom on Thursday, June 6th from 5-6pm, featuring special guest Jen Harry. This free online event is the latest in Healthy Acadia's monthly mindfulness series.
In this hour-long session, Harry will delve deep into the parallels between gardening and life. Participants will discover common principles between gardening and mindfulness practice and explore how they offer similar lessons. Through discussion, we will explore mindfulness techniques inspired by the wisdom of nature, aiming to cultivate greater awareness, acceptance, self-compassion, peace and joy in the gardens of our lives.

Harry is passionate about providing busy people with the tools and practices to reduce stress, increase happiness, and enrich their minds and bodies. He holds a BA in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. He is also certified in Japanese Psychological Association Methods, Applied Positive Psychology, and Resilience Training. Based in Bar Harbor, Maine, Harry offers group training sessions, one-on-one coaching, workshops, and outdoor mindfulness adventures through his venture, Acadia Mindfulness.
