East Tennessee woman offers diet and herbal remedies for uterus care

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — It all started with a dream. When Femeika Elliott started Meik Meals, she had a vision for the next step in her career. After she won the Knoxville Center for Entrepreneurship's “What's a Big Idea?” pitch contest, the Lotus Program Experience was born. Her dream became a reality.

The Lotus Program, Elliott describes, is a local food service and wellness program for prenatal and postnatal mothers, including women experiencing fertility and uterine conditions. . Her services provide a wide range of care. It's a passion formed through her own experiences.

“After recovering from and working through the trauma while in college, I realized there was something needed at that time, especially during times of grief and loss,” Elliott said. “I realized how food affects our mood, mental health, and of course our uterus,” she said.

Now she can help other women through food and herbalism. Something I want Elliot to have in case he is in trouble.

“As women, we are often forgotten and we want to focus on everyone else but ourselves, putting ourselves on the back burner. I am here to put women first across the board. ,” she said.
