Pricey Diary,
Wow! Magic is a lot extra difficult than I assumed.
This morning at breakfast, we got our new timetables after which headed off to our lessons. First was Transfiguration. We tried to show matchsticks into needles, and it was so tough. I’m unsure mine modified in any respect, although the lady sitting subsequent to me, Eloise, mentioned she thought mine was a bit of shinier.
Subsequent, Charms, which was enjoyable. Professor Flitwick is our head of Home, and he’s so, nicely… charming! He was very encouraging as we practiced wand actions and type when he corrected us. There’s a lot nuance to Charms and wand motion, however I beloved perfecting each swish and flick. I can inform that can be considered one of my favourite lessons.
After lunch, we had Potions. The dungeons have been very creepy, and there have been unusual issues in bottles and jars all over the place. We took numerous actually difficult notes, and I missed Dad rather a lot as we discovered about a number of the components we purchased in Diagon Alley. Getting used to boarding college can be an enormous adjustment. I wrote Mum and Dad a letter tonight to allow them to know I received right here and every thing I’ve seen and performed to date. I hope Mum is proud that I’m in Ravenclaw, taking after her intelligence since she’s a college professor. I miss them, however I’m able to be taught as a lot magic as I presumably can. Tomorrow is one other busy day, so it’s time for mattress.
