Being a gardening pro, I really wanted to check out the middle aisle at Aldi.

The sun may not be shining on every wall just yet, but one amateur gardener is already making the most of his outdoor space.

Not only did influencer Maggie find loads of gardening supplies at Aldi, she also found a bottle of wine she'll need for next summer.

If you're not following @maggiesgreencup, get ready to meet your new favorite gardening content creator.

With tips on caring for indoor plants, buying flowers at bargain prices, and extending your garden fence, this horticulture influencer has information for any gardener.

But just like the rest of us, Maggie loves finding bargains in Aldi's middle aisles, and she shared some of her favourite finds in a recent TikTok.

Of course, the first thing she picked up was a beautiful faux wicker planter, perfect for a balcony or window.

Currently selling for just £6.99, these baskets come with a small metal hook for hanging and are available in your choice of light or dark grey.

When paired with matching furniture along a central walkway, these planters can give your home a country cottage feel, even if you're on a tight budget.

Alternatively, you can add a more contemporary feel to your outdoor space by purchasing cube planters from just £9.99.

Even if you're not a big fan of gardening there were plenty of decorative items to enjoy, and everything in the shop was priced under £10.

Rather than acting as a gatekeeper, Maggie showed off some adorable decorative garden gonks that add a bold splash of colour to the garden.

£2.99 Garden Makeover Magic: Home Bargain Hacks Go viral

Choose from a whimsical bumblebee-inspired design or opt for a red and black gnome with a tiny hand-drawn ladybug.

Perfect for flower beds or patios, these lovely decorations are available from just £6.99.

Alternatively you can add a classic watering can in a sage green or silver finish for £8.99.

Holding up to 5 litres, this little garden accessory is rust-resistant and has a classic design.

But gardening supplies weren't what was in the influencers' carts.

Instead of adding planters or decorative items to her outdoor space, Maggie opted for Belavi's Outdoor Wine Bottle & Glass Holder.

Made for hazy summer evenings, this supermarket buy can hold four glasses and an entire bottle of wine.

If you're still on the fence, this outdoor accessory is made from iron and features a swirl design that will look great at any garden party.

In fact, the influencer joked that it's her new “favorite” item.

She wrote in the caption: “My favourite wine holder would look amazing on a garden table.”

The accessory is on special sale at the supermarket, so you'll want to hurry if you want to grab this summer essential, especially as it doesn't look like it'll be available in stores for long.

When is the best time to shop at Aldi?

If you want to shop at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

Discounted items – store opening

Products with the red stickers are rare in Aldi's 830 stores in the UK, but the supermarket says it doesn't waste any food, so you might be able to find some if you hurry.

“On the dates of their best before or expiry dates, all products will be reduced in price by up to 50 per cent of their retail price,” a supermarket spokesman said.

This means that if you get to the store as soon as it opens, you'll have the best chance of finding discounted foods.

Opening times vary by store, but most open from 7 or 8 a.m. You can use the supermarket's online store locator tool to find opening times for your nearest store.

Special Buys – Thursday and Sunday

Special Buys are weekly collections that Aldi puts together of products that aren't normally available for sale, from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock arrives in store every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best special deals.

To further increase your chances of snagging the best items, time your visit to coincide with the opening times of your local stores.

However, you don't have to go to the store to get your Specialbuy.

They are also available online, usually at midnight on Thursdays and Sundays, and can be pre-ordered up to a week in advance.

If you spend over £25 your items will be delivered free of charge.

Remember: once it's sold out, it's gone, so if there's something you really want, come visit as soon as possible.
