Amber Benge (@gracewalkfarm) is a homesteader and self-sufficient farmer who shares garden tips, tricks, and recipes with her 500,000 followers. In one Instagram Reel, she explains that curling tomato leaves is nothing to worry about.
Her calm demeanor really puts viewers at ease: “It's normal for the leaves to curl a little in the summer. High temperatures, high winds, lots of different things can cause the leaves to curl,” she says. She adds that as long as the leaves are curling and not browning or showing any other damage, you should be able to water your plant in the evening to help it recover.
If you notice any damage to the leaves or they are curled, Amber recommends pruning the affected branch to prevent the disease from damaging your plant. “In most cases, a little curling of the leaves is nothing to worry about,” she concludes.

Gardening is becoming a popular hobby (no pun intended): According to This Old House, “80% of American households took part in a gardening project in 2022.” And Bigger Garden reports that “one of the main factors in this rise in popularity is the COVID-19 pandemic, with 18.3 million people taking up gardening as a way to pass the time and stay productive while stuck at home.”
As more and more people take up the hobby, it's great to see so many people sharing their expert advice online.
