Gardeners' World faces schedule changes on the BBC today (19 July) following star Monty Don's notable departure from the show.

The hit BBC series has been a fixture on our screens since 1968. Starring the likes of Monty Don, Adam Frost and Frances Tophill, the show follows gardening teams as they transform stunning green spaces across the country.

However, fans tuning in at its usual time slot of 8pm today (July 19th) will be disappointed.

BBC programme Gardeners' World schedule changes

Gardeners' World usually airs at 8pm on BBC Two, but today (19 July) there's been a major change to the schedule, with the show now airing at 6pm instead.

In the latest episode, the team heads to Cheshire to visit the North's biggest horticultural event, RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.

Gardeners' World star Monty Don confirms career news

It comes after star Monty Don, who has presented Gardeners' World since 2003, gave fans some big career news earlier this week.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday (July 17), the band revealed that two more dates have been added to their upcoming tour at the end of the year.

Alongside a photo of Monty and some tour dates, Fern Productions announced: “New dates | More shows! @themontydon will be performing live at @harrogateconventioncentre with a second show at @the_lowry in Salford.”

“Tickets for the tour are still available to purchase so don't miss out on this special evening packed with incredible stories from his gardening career.”
